The Chennai Rhinos, which is owned by K. Ganga Prasad, is a team from the Tamil film industry that competes in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). They have been a part of the tournament since it began and are one of four teams.

The CCL’s first two editions were claimed by the Rhinos, who emerged victorious over the Karnataka Bulldozers in both the 2011 and 2012 finals. Despite reaching the final again in 2015, the Rhinos were unable to secure a win against the Telugu Warriors. However, they did not compete in the 2019 tournament and failed to advance to the semifinals in the following five seasons. In the previous season, the Rhinos had an even record of two wins and two losses.

The 2024 Celebrity Cricket League kicks off on Friday, the 23rd. The Rhinos’ first match will be against shers Punjab on Sunday, the 25th. Along with shers Punjab, the Rhinos will also compete against the Bhojpuri dabbangs, Karnataka Bulldozer, and Kerala forward in this season.

The eight teams competing in this season’s tournament are Telugu Warriors, Mumbai Heroes, Bhojpuri Dabbangs, Sher Punjab, Kerala Strikers, Kerala Strikers, Bengal Tigers, and Chennai Rhinos.

This season, there will be a total of 20 matches in the Celebrity Cricket League. The first stage of the tournament will take place in Sharjah, while the remaining 15 matches, including the playoffs and final, will be held in India.

The last phase of the competition, which includes the ultimate match on March 17, will take place in Visakhapatnam. The playoffs were newly incorporated into the CCL. In previous seasons, only the top four teams advanced to the semifinals.
